HOW IT WORKS

As a loyal PPG Account customer you have been invited to participate in the PPG VIP 2024 Scheme.

 

Register for a level and when you qualify choose ONE reward from that level. You have between the 1st January to 31st December 2024 to qualify for your level. ​

 

  1. Browse the website to see all the levels and reward choices at that level. Choose a level that appeals to you the most.

  2. Click on the Register tab, enter your unique user ID (provided in your email) then click Proceed.

  3. Select the level you wish to choose. When you select a level, you will be given your purchasing target for 2024.

  4. Once you reach your target and qualify for your level, you will be able to choose ONE reward from that level after the scheme finishes on 31st December 2024.

  5. If you are happy with the target and T&C’s click accept and you will receive an email confirmation of your chosen level and target.

  6. You have until 31st May 2024 to register.


Tracking

Your sales figures will be uploaded monthly to the scheme website. You will be able to log on and monitor your progress against
the target you selected by simply clicking on the ‘Log In’ Tab on www.ppgvip.co.uk, then enter your email and password. 

The first time you login you will need to set a password for the site. To set a password CLICK HERE then enter your email address to receive a set password link.

 

The scheme will run until the 31st December 2024.

Terms and Conditions

PPG ARCHITECTURAL COATINGS UK LIMITED’S TERMS AND CONDITIONS RELATING TO ITS VIP 2024 SCHEME (“CONDITIONS”)
 
These Conditions and the PPG VIP 2024 Scheme Opt-in form (see following link: OPT-IN FORM
 (“Opt-in form”) and the PPG VIP 2024 Levels Rewards form (see following link: www.ppgvip.co.uk) (“Levels Rewards form”) comprise the only terms and conditions on which PPG shall administer the Scheme and they shall apply to the Scheme to the exclusion of any other terms and conditions generally used by, or preferred by or otherwise brought to PPG’s notice by the Business, the Business Owner or any Attendees.

  1. As a customer of either PPG Architectural Coatings UK Limited or PPG Architectural Coatings Ireland Limited (known as “PPG” or “PPGROI” respectively), your company or business (“Business”) has been invited to participate in the PPG VIP Scheme (“Scheme”) administered by PPG’s third party agency XSEM Limited (registered in England and Wales under Company registration number 04654429) (“XSEM”).

  2. The Scheme consists of various types of reward: gift vouchers of varying denominations; gadgets; and activities (activities shall be referred to subsequently in these Conditions as “Events”). To participate in the Scheme, your Business must submit its selection of level as set out in the Levels Rewards form (“Level”) to XSEM by 31st May 2024. By signing the opt-in form you are declaring that you are the owner/director of the Business and have the authority to choose to participate in the Scheme. You are also confirming that you agree and accept these Conditions and your Business’s 2024 purchasing target.2.

  3. The target period is 1st January to and including 31st December 2024 (“Scheme Period”).

  4. The Business’s purchasing target is a target set by PPG on products purchased from either PPG or PPGROI (as relevant) by the Business (“Target”) and which corresponds to the Level your Business selects.  Only the following products shall count towards the Target:
    a) products that PPG or PPGROI (as relevant) has delivered and invoiced to the Business during the Scheme Period;
    b) products that the Business has collected and PPG or PPGROI (as relevant) has invoiced to the Business during the Scheme Period; provided always that if by 31st January 2025 the Business has not paid in full the invoices issued to it by PPG or PPGROI (as relevant) during the Scheme Period, then, without prejudice to PPG’s or PPGROI (as relevant) rights to terminate the Business’ participation in the Scheme pursuant to Condition 21 below, the total value of such unpaid invoices shall be deducted from the total value of invoices issued to the Business by PPG or PPGROI (as relevant) during the Scheme Period. The following shall not count towards the Target:
    c) the VAT element of any PPG or PPGROI (as relevant) invoice;
    d) PPG’s or PPGROI (as relevant) carriage, duties or freight costs;
    e) purchases that are not made through one of the Business’s accounts listed on its completed Opt-in form;
    f)  purchases by any associated or group company unless such account is listed on the Business’s completed Opt-in form.

  5. Subject always to Conditions 17, 21 and 25 below, if your Business reaches or exceeds its Target within the Scheme Period it will qualify for one (1) reward out of the number of rewards available for that Level.

  6. Monthly sales updates will be sent on email by XSEM showing your Business’s purchases YTD against your Target. Upon expiry of the Scheme Period, XSEM will confirm to the Business whether or not it has reached or exceeded its Target. If exceeded, the Business will qualify for one (1) reward out of the number of rewards available for that Level. 

  7. You must both select and claim your reward from XSEM during the period from and including 1st February 2025 up to and including 30th April 2025 (“Claim Period”). After 30th April 2025, if you have not previously selected and claimed during the Claim Period a reward for which your business was eligible, then neither PPG or PPGROI (as relevant) nor XSEM will have any obligation to or be liable to honour or provide you with such reward or any item of equivalent value (including cash) and all of your Business’s rights to claim such a reward shall be extinguished.  

  8. Please note that XSEM does not hold any stocks of gadgets. Accordingly, neither XSEM nor PPG or PPGROI (as relevant) gives any guarantee or warranty that any gadget selected will be available when ordered from such stockists. If your selected gadget is unavailable we reserve the right to offer the Business an alternative gadget or gift voucher of equivalent value. 

  9. If the reward selected is a gadget, they will come directly from the supplier.

  10. If the reward selected is a gift voucher, you will receive the voucher via email redemption code to be used on the Love2shop website. This code can be redeemed against a physical gift card or an online e-gift card. Denominations can also be selected on the Love2shop website. Prior to gift vouchers being processed, you will need to tick the tax liability box on the redemption platform. Upon ticking the box please carefully read the tax liability information given before selecting this option as there are tax obligations that your Business is required to perform. Any tax liability obligations from all other rewards offered through this scheme is the responsibility of the individual Business.

  11. If the reward selected is an Event this must be booked with XSEM during the Claim Period and be taken by 31st December 2025 subject always to the other provisions of these Conditions relating to Events. If the customer would like to make any amendments to the Event such as: add on additional places, extend the duration of stay or upgrade any travel or accommodation this must be booked, arranged and paid for directly to the venue, or travel provider (where possible), by the individual and cannot be arranged by XSEM. If you do not select and book your Event during the Claim Period, or you do not participate in the Event by 31st December 2025, then neither PPG or PPGROI (as relevant) nor XSEM will have any obligation to or be liable to honour or provide you with Event or any item of equivalent value (including cash) and all of your Business’s rights to claim such Event shall be extinguished.

  12. Events may only be attended by the Business owner or otherwise by such person(s) as is authorised by the Business owner to attend the Event with his or her permission up to the maximum number permitted to attend the Event (“Attendee(s)” provided always that is it strictly prohibited for any Attendee to be either a public official or a customer of the Business prior formal pre-approval from PPG confirmation the invitation of the Attendee may not expose both the Business and PPGH to potential non-compliance with UK and international regulations. Once the Business has confirmed the selected Attendee(s), the Attendee(s) list cannot be changed or altered. The Attendee(s) hereby confirm that they agree to receive email communication about the Scheme and the Event to the (email) address provided and this will be deemed by the Attendee(s) to be a legitimate interest for personal data processing activities associated with the Scheme. For more information on how your personal data may be processed and our grounds for doing so please see the Privacy Notice at the bottom of these Conditions.

  13. Once XSEM confirm to the Attendees that they have been booked onto the Event, it is not possible to alter the dates or the Event destination and PPG or PPGROI (as relevant) shall be under no obligation to refund or provide any monetary compensation or provide alternative dates (or parts thereof including without limitation substitute accommodation or flight or substitute Events) to the Attendees (or any of them) if:
    a) the Attendees (or any of them) decide not to, or can no longer or must no longer attend the Event for any reason (including, without limitation, any Attendee falling in the category of persons identified by the UK Government as being clinically extremely vulnerable and at high risk of serious illness if they catch coronavirus (COVID-19) or are required to be shielded due to (COVID-19), the Attendees falling ill prior to travel or an Attendee displays Coronavirus-related symptoms or the UK Government’s Foreign and Commonwealth Office or the equivalent authority in the event destination country advise against all but essential travel to such country); or 
    b) all or any part of the Events (including without limitation flights, hotels, restaurant bookings,  transfers or related Events) is or are cancelled by, or the relevant provider and/or XSEM refuses to supply, the relevant part of the Event.

  14. Any additional costs or charges (including but not limited to additional personal requirements such as additional nights or travel upgrades (including flights) or liabilities (including but not limited to tax liabilities)) which arise or are required as a consequence of attending the Event will be the Attendees’ sole responsibility and are not included in the Event package. Also the Attendees shall be solely liable for all additional costs, charges and liabilities arising from any changes to the Event which were requested by the Attendees. Such additional costs and charges shall include all those directly or indirectly arising from: a) any quarantine; or b) self-isolation requirements; or c) a lockdown is imposed; by the Event destination country or the UK government relating to the Coronavirus (for example but not by way of limitation: accommodation, food and drink during the period of quarantine); or d) the sickness or illness of an Attendee.

  15. Certain Events may be subject to restrictions specified by our selected third party suppliers; e.g. participants must hold a valid passport or must not be subject to a restriction such as a football banning order or similar. It is each Attendee(s) responsibility to ensure that they qualify to attend and/or can participate in the Event. Individual Attendee(s) may be required to agree to further terms and conditions specified by our selected third party suppliers in order to take part in certain Events.

  16. There is no option during the Scheme Period for the Business to downgrade the Level and Target, once submitted.

  17. At any time prior to 31st October 2024 (“Upgrade Deadline”), the Business may opt to upgrade its Level by selecting a higher level from the list and submitting its choice to XSEM via the Scheme’s website. Upon its receipt and acceptance of the upgrade by the Upgrade Deadline, XSEM will inform your Business of its revised Target for the Scheme Period. This will result in the automatic withdrawal of the previous Level and Target regardless of whether or not the Business had already exceeded its previous Target. Hence there is a risk that the Business could fail to qualify for any selected Level if it opts to upgrade its Level but fails to achieve the revised higher Target.  The Business can opt to upgrade its Level more than once following the procedure set out in this Condition 17 but no Level Upgrade applications will be accepted after the Upgrade Deadline.

  18. The Business’s details and those of its Attendees will be disclosed to our selected third party events agency for the purpose of administering the Scheme and arranging your places on the Event if the Business qualifies. For more details please see the Privacy Notice at the bottom of these Conditions.  

  19. No cash alternative is available for any Level or Reward included in the Scheme. Event places are non-transferable and no part or parts of the activities may be substituted for other benefits, items or additions or price reductions. No refunds will be available from either PPG or PPGROI (as relevant) or our selected third party agency or suppliers.

  20. If PPG or PPGROI (as relevant) or XSEM is delayed in, prevented from or fails to provide places on the Event including without limitation, hotel accommodation, restaurant bookings, transfers and related activities Events whilst attending the Event) by the date you booked for the Event  (being a date prior to and including 31st December 2025) or the same is cancelled or postponed by reason of any cause beyond its reasonable control (a “Force Majeure Event”) then, subject to the remaining terms of this Condition  20, neither PPG or PPGROI (as relevant) nor its third party agency or suppliers shall have any liability whatsoever to the Attendees or the Business in respect of the delay, prevention or failure to provide the Event or Event upgrade or the same is cancelled or postponed.  In such circumstances, PPG or PPGROI (as relevant) excludes all liability whatsoever for any costs, expenses, damages, liability, injury or disappointment suffered by the Attendee(s) or the Business arising out of or in any way connected with for such cancellation or postponement to the fullest extent permitted by law.  A Force Majeure Event shall include, but shall not be limited to, war, threat of war, riots, civil commotion, act of God, government, terrorist activities, strikes or other industrial action, accident, natural disaster, storm, flood, fire, epidemic or disease.

  21. PPG and/or XSEM reserves the right to immediately upon written notice served on the Business withdraw the Business’s or the Attendees’ participation in the Scheme or  to render the Business or the Attendee(s) ineligible to receive any item relating to its selected Level (including without limitation the right to attend an Event) (without any liability whatsoever to the Business or the Attendees) if:
    a) The Business or the Attendee(s) are in breach of any of their respective  obligations, representations and/or warranties under these Conditions;
    b) The Business’s account is in arrears with PPG or PPGROI (as relevant) at any point;
    c) The Business ceases to trade at any point during the Scheme Period;
    d) PPG or PPGROI (as relevant) (in its sole discretion) considers that the Business is likely to or otherwise finds out that it has abused the Scheme in some way, e.g. bulk purchases at the end of the Scheme Period and seeking to refund such products following the end of the Scheme Period;
    e) The Business or any of its directors, officers or owners or the Attendee(s) have been convicted of a criminal offence of any kind other than a minor road traffic offence.

  22. Attendance at an Event is taken at the Attendee(s)’ own risk and PPG or PPGROI (as relevant) excludes all liability whatsoever for any costs, expenses, damages, liability, injury or disappointment suffered by the Attendee(s) or the Business  arising out of or in any way connected with the Event (including, without limitation, an Attendee’s contraction of the Coronavirus prior to travel to, or during the Event, any requirement imposed on an Attendee to go into quarantine or self-isolation or the Attendees are prevented from returning to the UK because lockdown restrictions are imposed due to the Coronavirus) other than those costs and expenses specifically provided for during the Event (if any) provided that nothing in these Conditions excludes any liability for:
    a) death or personal injury arising out of PPG’s or PPGROI (as relevant) negligence or the negligence of its employees;
    b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation by PPG or PPGROI (as relevant) or its employees; or
    c) any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

  23. The Attendees are responsible to comply at all times with the UK Government’s guidelines which can be accessed at the following link: https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus, those of the Event destination’s government and those of the Attendees’ travel insurers.

  24. The Business may only participate in one PPG or PPGROI (as relevant) customer incentive scheme at any one time.

  25. This Scheme together with the Business and/or the Attendees’ rights to attend the Event or to receive a gift voucher or gadget relating to a selected Level may be altered, postponed, withdrawn or cancelled by PPG or PPGROI (as relevant) at any time at its sole discretion without prior notice and without PPG or PPGROI (as relevant) incurring any liability whatsoever for any costs, expenses, damages, liability, injury or disappointment suffered by the Attendee(s) or the Business arising thereby.

  26. Travel insurance is NOT included for Events. It is the responsibility of each Attendee to ensure that they have the relevant valid insurance cover pertaining to the Event including (without limitation, hotel accommodation, restaurant bookings, transfers and related events whilst attending the Event) whether or not these were booked by PPG or PPGROI (as relevant) or its third party agent. If, for whatever reason, the Event is cancelled or postponed and the Attendees or the Business do not have the requisite insurance cover or such cover is subject to exclusions or insurance excesses, then PPG or PPGROI (as relevant) shall have no liability to the Attendees or the Business whatsoever for any costs, expenses, damages, liability, injury or disappointment suffered by the Attendee(s) or the Business arising thereby.

  27. No verbal representation by any PPG or PPGROI (as relevant) employee or any third party agent shall be capable of being relied on by an Attendee or the Business or be deemed to be a representation by PPG or PPGROI (as relevant) unless it is confirmed in writing.

  28. If any wording in any provision of these Conditions is held invalid, illegal or unenforceable for any reason by any court of competent jurisdiction, such wording shall be severed from these Conditions, and the remainder of that provision and the other remaining provisions hereof shall continue in full force and effect as if these Conditions had been originally drafted with the invalid, illegal or unenforceable wording eliminated.

  29. The Business and any Attendees shall address any applicable notices or correspondence to: a) XSEM at julie.yearsley@xsem.co.uk or XSEM Ltd, 3 Bowling Green Terrace, Holbeck, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS11 9SP for the attention of Julie Yearsley; and b) PPG at sarah.clough@ppg.com or PPG, Huddersfield Road, Birstall, Batley, West Yorkshire, WF17 9XA for the attention of Sarah Clough.

  30. These Conditions shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and in the case of dispute the parties shall submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.

  31. The Scheme is operated by PPG Architectural Coatings UK Ltd (registered in England and Wales under company number 436135) whose registered office is at Huddersfield Road, Birstall, Batley WF17 9XA. Please note that PPG ROI is not involved in any way with the operation of the scheme.

Personal data belonging to the Business owner and Attendees will be processed by PPG Architectural Coatings UK Limited as a data controller for the purpose of administering the VIP 2024 Scheme (“Scheme”) (including the disclosure of such personal data to our third party agents to manage the Scheme). The legal basis for the processing is to meet our legal obligation, cf. GDPR art 9(1) (b), and to pursue our legitimate interest, cf. GDPR art. 6(1) (f), in administering the Scheme (including the disclosure of such personal data to our third party agents to manage the Scheme).
